Jason Hatchell is a long-time resident of Japan, being the 3rd generation of his family to live and work there. Jason's expressionist style works use bold colors and deep textures to convey what he is feeling in the moment. As you will see in his works, Jason is heavily influenced by his time in Japan. Jason's main materials are acrylic on canvas, but he's been known to use plaster, resin, pen, etc, to get his message across.
Jason currently splits time between Oregon and Tokyo, and in his free time he enjoys a cold NW IPA with his wife, watching baseball, and playing with his three dogs Raisin, Tanner and Frankie.
